We're Hollie and Alex. A husband and wife team with over thirty years experience between us in TV production and cinematography. We knew from our background in television that we could create something different that would capture the moments that make a day personal. The standard shot of the bride arriving is of course important but its also the little interactions with her mum as she’s getting ready or the jokes the bridesmaids tell to settle her nerves. From our experience in documentary making, we know how to blend into the background so that everyone feels at ease and can be themselves rather than feeling on show.
We had our wedding filmed in 2021 and whilst we had a magical day, we found the final film disappointing. It was really just footage with music over the top and we didn’t feel that it had captured the people, personalities and heart of the day. We didn’t want a moving version of our photo album!
This inspired us to start Studio 96 and create wedding films the way we wanted ours to be made.
